Every Tuesday at 9pm Off The Chart takes a sideways look at the UK singles chart from the corresponding week in a particular ’80s year. A trip down Memory Lane that takes a detour down Don’t Remember This One Avenue and gets you lost in What The Hell’s This? Cul-De-Sac.

Looking for a retro chart show that doesn’t just play the familiar hits? You’ve found it.

Off The Chart: 3 March 1983

Every now and then I get a little bit tired of listening to other radio shows, but luckily it's Off The Chart time again! This week we're heading back to 1983 for a look at the UK singles chart, including a load of obscure, forgotten and neglected hits. We'll top that up with some of the week's other UK charts, a look at the news, some TV and radio highlights, the day's gig guide, a track from a Peel Session broadcast on this day, a hit from the West German chart and the top five in full to round things off.

If you’d like to browse the charts we’re using in upcoming shows and perhaps suggest something you’d like to hear, let us know and we’ll see what we can do! Bear in mind that we’ve played most of the good stuff already, so don’t be offended if your suggestion doesn’t make it to the show. It’s not because you smell.
